Brazilian court orders Ronaldo to take paternity test

DUAL World Cup winner Ronaldo has been ordered by a Brazilian court to take a DNA test to resolve a paternity dispute.
The demand was made after a Brazilian resident of Singapore claimed the three-time FIFA Footballer of the Year was the father of her four-year-old boy.
Speaking about her child 27-year-old Michele Umrazu said: “His hair, his eyes, his nose are the same as Ronaldo's.”
According to reports the woman had up to now believed her child's father was her ex-fiance, an American, but when he agreed to a paternity test it came back negative.
Michele Umrazu's mother told 'Quem' magazine that her daughter and Ronaldo had first met at the 2002 World Cup in Tokyo, meeting up again in August 2004, nine months before the baby was born.
Ronaldo, who turned 33 on Tuesday, already has two children _ Ronald, aged nine, and nine-month old Maria Sofia.
The Corinthians striker confirmed last month that he was expecting a third child in early 2010.

Kidnap victim Jaycee Lee Dugard is being asked to take a paternity test by the man believed to be her natural father.
Ken Slayton says he has not heard from Jaycee or her representatives since she was freed from the secret backyard compound where Phillip Garrido held her for 18 years.
Mr Slayton’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, announced at a Los Angeles press conference her client wants Jaycee to take tests that will prove if she is his daughter.

But she insisted the Vietnam veteran wants nothing from Jaycee other than to give her his love and support.
An emotional Mr Slayton, who had a brief one-month relationship with Jaycee’s mother’s Terry Susan Dugard after meeting her at a campsite in 1979, said: ‘I believe that Jaycee Lee Dugard is my daughter.
‘I have reached this conclusion because the FBI told me that Jaycee’s mother had identified me as Jaycee’s father and because the El Dorado County Sheriff’s office also treated me as her father....
‘I have had many nightmares over the years wondering if I could have done more to find Susan and the baby.

‘Now that she has been found I want her to know that our hearts are open to her and we long to be the loving, supportive and normal family to her and her children that she has not had for 18 years and that her children have never known.
‘We understand and respect that she and her children have suffered greatly and may need some time before we are united.
‘However, we are reaching out today, hoping and praying that she will hear us and take the first step with us in helping to confirm that she is my daughter, my children’s sister, and the mother of my grandchildren.
‘We love you Jaycee and we await your call so that we can meet you in a quiet, private setting, hopefully very, very soon.’
Ms Allred told said: ‘We are speaking at this press conference today because we do not know where she is now and this is our only hope of reaching her.

‘We would like to have testing done to confirm that Kenneth is her father, and if she or her representative is willing to contact me we can arrange for a private and confidential test at an appropriate time.
‘This is an important opportunity to have a very special relationship. Parents are forever and it is never too late to establish and enjoy a parent-child relationship.
‘We think it is important that Jaycee is in a safe place now and has her privacy.
‘However, we hope that very soon we will hear from her or her representative and learn if and when she will be able to accept the opportunity to meet the family who believe that they are her sisters, stepmother and father and who want to do everything they can to support her at this critical time and for the rest of her life.’
